The Medical office assistant is a health professional who works in clinics, hospitals, generalist or specialist medical practices. It is an aid for the doctor in that his role consists on the one hand of taking charge of a few acts such as welcoming the patient; the preparation of the consultation; taking vital parameters (temperature or voltage, measurement and weight control); issuing prescriptions for blood tests or analgesics; equipment cleaning and sterilization. On the other hand, technical acts such as laying of the electrocardiogram, infusion, simple bandages and dressings, removal of earwax, polygraphy of sleep are part of his daily acts.
